Thelma Clouse, the wife of a Methodist minister, was a writer and a Bible scholar. When her daughter, Jane, enrolled in college, Thelma decided to complete her degree, and graduated with her daughter. Jane, an elementary school teacher who worked for the Department of Defense in Europe for 25 years, used her spare time to do missionary work while there. Since returning to the States, Jane has taught a ladies' Bible class, held services in seven nursing homes in the Prescott area, and has been active in her church. Jane holds a B.S degree from McPherson College and an M.S. degree from Emporia State University. She and her husband, Jim, reside in Prescott, Arizona.
