It is Our Birthright and Our Inheritance

Inheritance chronicles the journey many of us have taken from hearing what God has done to seeing what God is doing. Traditional conservative Evangelicals have been involved in incredible supernatural works of God throughout the last century. God has manifested Himself through people who didn’t expect it, were not conditioned to receive it, were suspicious of it, resisted it, and finally embraced it after having thoroughly verified that it was really God.

Ellis uses many journals, testimonies and various analogies to draw the reader in and make the information understandable for everyone. He points out highlights of the transition from believing that miracles happened in Jesus’ time but don’t any more; to not only believing they happen today but experiencing them. That transitional process is what this book is dedicated to empowering.

“Dr. William David Ellis has taken historical evidence of the great revivals and personalities of the Southern Baptist Convention, mixed it with the story of his own journey into the Fullness of the Holy Spirit and then clearly and cleanly touched the Hot buttons of our controversy…”
- Dwight McKissic, Senior Pastor of Cornerstone Baptist Church in Arlington, Texas.

“It was good to be reminded that in a changing world we have an unchanging God. For years, I could not explain the gap between what I read in the New Testament and what I was seeing happen in my life and in my church.”
- Barry Camp, Pastor of Highland Baptist Church in Waco, Texas.

“An appeal to Evangelicals for Openness and Honesty regarding the Holy Spirit. The book is well written and should find an accepting, curious and expectant audience with Southern Baptists and beyond.”
– Dr Jack Taylor, gifted pastor and author of twelve books
